Incidente per Susan Sarandon: “Caduta, commozione cerebrale e naso fratturato”

L’attrice 73enne ha annunciato attraverso il suo account pubblico di essere rimasta vittima di un piccolo incidente che le ha procurato “una commozione cerebrale, naso fratturato, botta al ginocchio”. Nonostante ciò l’attrice non ha mancato di manifestare il suo appoggio per il senatore Bernie Sanders.

Incidente per Susan Sarandon, lche mostra su Instagram gli effetti sul suo volto del brutto incidente. L'attrice 73enne ha annunciato attraverso il suo account pubblico di essere rimasta vittima di un piccolo incidente che le ha procurato "una commozione cerebrale, naso fratturato, botta al ginocchio". L'attrice ha poi proseguito spiegando che a causa dell'avvenimento non potrà essere presente all'incontro in New Hampshire con il senatore Bernie Sanders, che l'attrice sostiene strenuamente nella sua battaglia politica: "Mi dispiace molto non poterci essere", ha scritto l'attrice, sottolineando il rimpianto di non poter prendere parte all'evento organizzato in occasione della presenza del noto volto politico, che da tempo cerca di imporsi come alternativa a Donald Trump.

A little slip = concussion, fractured nose, banged up knee. So, looks like I won’t be able to meet the folks in New Hampshire with Senator Sanders tomorrow. I’m really sorry I’ll miss that opportunity but here’s what I’d hoped to say: This is an emergency. Ask the scientists, the farmers, the creatures in the sea. Ask all those who have lost their homes from hurricanes, flood and fire, ask the endless stream of climate refugees, and the people of Flint, San Juan, and Standing Rock. This is a emergency. Ask the mothers who have lost their children to the opioid epidemic or because of the price of insulin. Ask the mothers who have lost their kids to gun violence in schools, in churches, in their bedrooms. This is an emergency. Ask those separated from their families at the border, or those separated from their loved ones by an unjust, racist, for-profit prison system. This is an emergency when our young people have no hope for education, for dream-making, because of insurmountable student debt. When teachers are forced to have additional jobs and when 40 hours of honest labor can still leave you in poverty. When homophobia, Islamaphobia, transphobia and racism take lives, that is an emergency. This is not the time for a “pathway” to or “framework” for incremental change. Emergencies require bold, visionary leadership. Senator Sanders believes in us and that together a better world is possible. He has been fighting for social, racial and economic justice his entire life, long before running for President, often before it was acceptable. Now it’s time for us to fight for him.

L’attrice 73enne premio Oscar ha comunque colto l’accasione per ribadire il suo sostegno al senatore che è impegnato nella corsa alla candidatura alla presidenza degli Stati Uniti: "Ha combattuto per la giustizia social, razziale ed economica per tutta la vita, molto prima della sua candidatura, spesso prima che fosse accettabile. Adesso è il momento per noi di lottare per lui".

Sarandon in questi ultimi anni ha mostrato in maniera netta e decisa le sue posizioni politiche, raccontando la sua vita da attivista anche e soprattutto attraverso l'utilizzo dei social.

Tempo fa Susan Sarandon era stata arrestata negli Stati Uniti per aver preso parte alla protesta di Washington contro il presidente Donald Trump. Erano 575 in tutto le donne presenti alla manifestazione motivata dalla contestazione al presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America per le sue politiche sull'immigrazione. In quell'occasione era stata lei stessa a dare notizia dell'arresto, utilizzando in quell'occasione il suo account Twitter,e scrivendo:
